Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site
Explore the remains of Le Machault, a 26-gun sailing ship, and learn about the final naval battle between France and Britain for control of North America in 1760. Sugarloaf Park
As Atlantic Canada’s first lift-service mountain bike park, Sugarloaf Park provides an exciting experience with trails for all levels, from beginner to expert. Bike rentals are available on-site for those ready to hit the trails. Hike up the 305-meter (1,000 ft) Sugarloaf Mountain for breathtaking panoramic views. The steep but rewarding trail leads to one of the best lookouts in the region! For visitors who prefer a more leisurely pace, the park also features scenic walking and hiking trails, designated picnic areas, and excellent birdwatching opportunities.
